Latination II
Exhibition Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia
2011
Participated in an exhibition celebrating the Latin culture at the Metro Galleries in Bakersfield, CA. I entered one piece titled "What Frida Gave Me." Inspired by Frida Kahlo, the sculpture is a surreal moment captured in an instant. It depicts Frida Kahlo giving me her diary (her inner thoughts/passion) in which an explosion of creation is spiraling upwards, while one of Frida's monkeys is reaching out to me. It is a tribute to Frida as she is in my top two, favorite artists of all time.
