What happens when restaurants, lounges, community centers and even art galleries (who all claim to promote art and helping emerging artists blah blah blah) want to charge you 2500 bucks to rent their venue for a one night art show? You make some flyers, print the flyers, rent a u-haul, fill it with your art, plaster the flyers you made all over the u-haul and you drive your ass down to the beach, park on PCH and let the people come to you! And if you're lucky, a solar eclipse will occur.... bringing even more people out your way. This art experiment slash statement to the art world and to my fellow artists around the world was sponsored by Marley's Mellow Mood who I was lucky enough to partner with. This experiment was a success because I proved to myself that there is always another way. Always. I proved to other artists that they don't need art galleries and the alike to show their work to the world. Finally I proved and confirmed to myself that art is what I'm supposed to doing. In the humblest respect, I am a genuine artist and the (art) world needs me....Entrepreneurship, Exhibition Design, Street Art2012 -

I was asked to donate some art to be donated in which 100% of the proceeds would go to the relief effort in Japan in wake of the devastating earthquake and consequent tsunami. I painted a samurai in an old ink and stick technique used in ancient Japanese ink drawings/paintings. The painting is titled Hope, which is written in Japanese characters right on the painting, touched off with gold leaf dust sprinkled throughout the scene.Exhibition Design, Fine Arts, Philanthropy2011 -
Participated in an exhibition celebrating the Latin culture at the Metro Galleries in Bakersfield, CA. I entered one piece titled "What Frida Gave Me." Inspired by Frida Kahlo, the sculpture is a surreal moment captured in an instant. It depicts Frida Kahlo giving me her diary (her inner thoughts/passion) in which an explosion of creation is spiraling upwards, while one of Frida's monkeys is reaching out to me. It is a tribute to Frida as she is in my top two, favorite artists of all time.Exhibition Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia2011 -
